What a Team Costs
How big a team do you need? Most engagements start at three to four engineers. Below that, coordination costs more than it saves. Above it, we usually split the work across product areas rather than growing one team.
What It Costs
A team of three to four engineers runs $150,000 to $200,000 a year. What that buys:
- Engineers hired, ramped and managed by us
- Cover when someone is ill or leaves
- QASIP generating test design, automation and maintenance, with a QASource engineer verifying everything before it reaches your repository
- Every asset committed to your code and owned by you
What Moves the Number
- Change Volume: Release frequency and the size of the changed surface per release—the single biggest driver
- Risk: What a defect costs you. Regulated products, payments, and clinical systems carry a different evidence burden than internal tooling
- Breadth: How many platforms, devices, integrations, and environments have to be covered?
- What Exists Already: An engagement that inherits a working automation suite starts in a different place from one that inherits a spreadsheet
- Coverage Hours: Whether you need validation running while your team sleeps, and how much overlap with your working day you want
What We Won't Do
We don't compete on price. Our rates are our rates, and we will tell you that early rather than late. Paying less for the people who verify your software is a decision that surfaces later, in production, usually in front of a customer. If price is the deciding factor, there are firms that will win on it, and we would rather you found them in week one than in month nine.
We don't quote before we understand the problem. A number produced from a form is a guess with a decimal point on it.
When You Get a Number
-
You Tell Us What's Going Wrong
A form, an email, or a call. We research your company and product before we speak to you.
-
One Conversation
You talk. It ends with us saying the problem back to you in our own words so you can correct us.
-
A Proposal Within Two Business Days of That Conversation
Scope, approach, team, and price for your situation, with what it covers.
What you can see before you commit. A scoped assessment: two to three weeks, our engineers in your codebase, producing a generated-and-verified sample suite for one service and a coverage-against-change baseline. You keep the written finding either way.
